INSPIRATION
The Stonewall riots are often considered to be the origin of the gay liberation movement. The riots were sparked when the NYPD raided, The Stonewall Inn located in Greenwich Village. The riots extended over a six-day period, which publicized the persecution of queer people and gave rise to the gay rights movement in the United States and other countries.
We designed the bottom of the shirt to match the NYPD raided sign that's still shown at The Stonewall Inn.
